Acquire a “Platform” Physician Practice with the following characteristics:

  • Generate significant positive cash flow from clinic operations
  • Identified as high quality performing as measured using industry standards
  • Have significant enrollment of MediCare patients
  • Multiple locations in a concentrated geography

Use this Platform to accomplish the following:

  • Leverage state of the art technology: designed to enable physician-led integrated teams and to reduce administrative hassle & waste.
  • Implement highly differentiated clinical and social programs designed for complex seniors.
  • Access investments in human capital: to build interdisciplinary care teams around physician leaders, including MAs, scribes, social workers and more.
  • Reduce administrative hassles: from practice such as HR, Payroll, 401k, and improved group rates on Medical Malpractice insurance through support of enhanced systems and centralized functions.

Acquire additional practices whose patients could be “rolled up” into the “Platform” locations and or clinician and operational processes:

  • Retiring physician practices of one or two per year with a target of adding 500 new Medicare Advantage patients per year.
  • Cost of acquisition of “Non-Platform” clinics will be at lower multiples
  • Integration with “Platform” physically and operationally will increase EBITDA and exit value of lives acquired by leveraging Admin costs and improved clinical processes.
